Crafty Boots Challenge – Babies

I have been a slack member of Crafty Boots Design Team, but as this challenge is my challenge I pulled up my socks and finally took part again.

This is a personal challenge for me as it is also linked to Rhianna Lily, you can read more about our story and how the challenge is linked to her over at the challenge. Continue reading

Grandad’s Birthday Card

Some more masculine cards today.

It was my FIL’s birthday not long ago and as well as making our own card I also had to make a Grandad birthday card. I wanted this one to be a little bit of fun as it was from Baba.

I really wanted to something on the card that Baba loved so it was personal from him to his Grandad. I decided on a dinosaur as Baba loves them and his Grandad does encourage his love for dinosaurs so it was the perfect card.  Continue reading

17th Birthday Card

Last week we had a lot of birthdays in our family, and one was my BIL’s 17th Birthday.

I always find masculine cards difficult to make, so I do dread them when I have to make them. But for some reason on this particular day I was a little inspired.

I loved making this card, it was simple and easy to make and it was a complete and utter success.

Father’s Day Framed Page

As I have already said this Father’s Day was all handmade this year, but I still wanted to give Mr L something completely unique and different to him from Baba.

I decided to make a photo really personal by adding some words to the picture that were all personal and important to him and then putting it into a scrapbook page and framing it for him.  Continue reading

Father’s Day Cards

This years father’s day was all handmade in our house. From the cards to a present made by Baba and a present made by me. So we were very busy next month.

This card was a first for me as I decided to use my watercolour pencils, which I admit I am not that fantastic with, to colour in the stamp and to be honest for my first ever attempt I think that I didn’t do that bad a job and Mr L loved it saying the card was just like Baba and our dog!

So a success all around.

CRAFTfest June 2012

I am not here, I am manically running through cyber space promoting here, there and everywhere.

My head is literally spinning in cyber space at 360 degrees, and I wont be stopping for the next few days.

It is that time again and CRAFTfest is happening.

Why not pop on over and have a nose at CRAFTfest it is running from now until the 16th of June, don’t miss out as this event is huge over 30,000 visits in the first two days and the sales are roaring in.

Or pop on over and look at the Scrapbookerry stalls, yes that is right the main stall, and the baby stall!

Hope to see you there!

New and Exciting Plans!

So we have had some exciting news in the past few weeks, we went to the Isle of Wight and I got a little surprise.

When Mr L wrote this in the sand.

What is a girl supposed to do…

Say yes and get planning that is what!

We decided very early on that we would have a handmade wedding, for numerous reasons, that is what I do so it would seem stupid not to include it in the wedding. We are not people who conform to everything that everyone else does, and don’t always go with the tradition. So it is better that we do it ourselves so that we have it just as we like. But the other reason is that if we can cut costs down from making things ourselves it is much better for us all!  Continue reading

Where Am I?

This is mainly my view at the moment, whatever day of the week or whatever time of the day I am generally here. Sat in my craft room working away.

I am mega mega busy and I AM NOT complaining, I am loving it, but it has meant a few other things, such as the blogs have had to take a back seat.

On the 9th of June CRAFTfest starts yet again, and this time I am raring to go. I have had a few items that have been out of stock for a while but this CRAFTfest is going to be different, this is the one that my stall will be full. I am making a huge amount of stuff and am loving every minute of it. It really is so much fun sitting up in my room working away hard late into the night.

If I am not preparing for CRAFTfest then I am researching a great new product, that I really can not wait to get started on. It is something that I have wanted to do for a long long time, and has been a long time coming. There are a few more things that need to be tweaked but watch this space as it is coming very very soon!

And if that is not enough then the best bit is that I have had my first sale on WOW THANK YOU this week and have three Custom Orders sitting and waiting to be made! This week has literally blown me away with the interest in Scrapbookerry and I am so happy to be busy and the business doing well.

So I shall be back soon, as I am understandably a little bit manic at the moment!
