Scrapbookerry was founded in 2011 by Kerry after a high demand for her crafts from family and friends.
Kerry lives with her partner and 3-year-old son and is a work at home mum. All of her time is divided between her little boy and work. She does all her crafting in the evenings when he’s asleep and has a couple of days at work, when he goes to his Nannies. She is hoping to increase this in the near future when he starts at playschool.
Kerry has always had a keen interest in craft. She was very arty at school and loved to make things. She learnt to knit at a young age and enjoyed painting regularly.
Five years ago she went to a party for a home-selling scrapbooking company and made her first scrapbook page using photographs. From that moment she was hooked. She loved the way you could make albums interesting, each page had a theme, each page told a tale. Since then, she’s had the mammoth task of updating all her albums and putting them into scrapbooks. But it’s a task that she loves dearly and since having her child, she’s been more and more dedicated to it.
Once she had her little boy she started developing a love for mini albums, these were great present ideas. They were lovely individual presents to give to friends and family and they were always so greatly received by all. This love of mini albums developed and she started making more and more of her elaborate ideas.
In the last year she has been repeatedly asked if she could make items for friends and family members, she soon realised there was a market for her creations. So she slowly developed a business by word of mouth at first and then by developing this website.
Everything Kerry makes, she makes as if it were for herself. She puts as much care and attention into the gifts as if they were the first ones she made. She loves seeing the faces of the people who have asked for them and this is what motivates her when creating these keepsakes. She knows the joy that friends and family get out of them and wants to spread this to many other people.
All of her keepsakes have instructions on how to put in your own photos, along with enough adhesive are included. It means the finishing touches are very personal both to those giving and to those receiving the very special keepsake gift. They are truly something that will be treasured forever!
